This 8 Days tour takes you to one of Uganda’s finest tourism destinations. You will visit Lake Mburo National Park, home to 350 bird species as well as zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi, and reedbuck. Lake Mburo is magical in its own way with striking sunsets as well as panoramic landscapes. Due to its richness in diversity that ranges from Savannah vegetation, woodlands, forests, seasonal and permanent swamp hence being a habitat to many wildlife and bird species.
You will visit Kibale National Park; a haven with the largest concentration of chimpanzees. Uganda has the highest number of chimpanzees in the whole world which is about 4950 chimpanzees and Kibale National Park holds about 1500 chimpanzees.
Then you will have Mountain Gorilla trekking in the jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Did know that Uganda has the highest percentage of Mountain Gorillas in the world? There are currently less than 1200 mountain gorillas left in the world and almost half of the population resides in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. Gorilla trekking is one of the top activities while on a safari.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is the largest biotic area in Africa. It is a habitat for a variety of flora and fauna, hippo, tree-climbing lions, elephants, wildebeest, swamp antelope, Uganda-kobs, topis, waterbucks, bushbucks, reedbucks, duiker, and many other animal species. It is home to over 95 species of mammals and over 600 species of birds. The park is also Uganda’s most popular tourist destination.
You will enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Some of the best wildlife viewings are done on boat cruise by viewing Squacco herons, hippos, Elephants, Antelopes, and more.
You will also do the community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an indigenous group of people that have lived in the forest for 500,000 years, enjoy traditional dances and drama from them.
