Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Start your journey early in the morning from Kampala or Entebbe, driving north through beautiful landscapes and rural towns. Your first stop is Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a thrilling rhino tracking experience on foot – this is the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild.
After lunch en route (usually in Masindi town), proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the late afternoon. Upon entering the park, enjoy a short game drive as you head to your lodge.

Day 2: Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise to the Base of the Falls
Start the day with an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile River. Look out for elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, hyenas, Uganda kobs, Jackson’s hartebeest, and many bird species including the Secretary Bird and Abyssinian Ground Hornbill.
Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and relax. After lunch, head out for an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile. This 3-hour boat ride takes you to the base of the thundering Murchison Falls, passing hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and various water birds like the African fish eagle and kingfishers.
After the boat cruise, you can opt to hike to the top of the falls for panoramic views and great photography moments.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Return to Kampala/Entebbe
After an early breakfast, enjoy a final short game drive as you exit the park. Look out for any animals you may have missed the previous day. Then, drive back to Kampala or Entebbe with a stop for lunch along the way.
Expect to arrive in Kampala or Entebbe by late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your memorable 3-day Murchison Falls safari.
