Day 1 Transfer from Kigali to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an Evening Game Drive.
Our journey begins with a warm welcome upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport. After a brief introduction to your guide, you will embark on a scenic drive towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is located approximately 7 hours from Kigali through the Gatuna Border. The route offers stunning views of rolling hills and lush landscapes characteristic of this region.
As evening approaches, prepare for an exciting game drive through the park’s diverse ecosystems. Look out for elephants, buffaloes, lions, and various antelope species as well as numerous bird species that inhabit this area.

Day 2 Chimpanzee Trekking at Kalinzu Forest Reserve and Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
After breakfast at your lodge, head towards Kalinzu Forest Reserve for chimpanzee trekking. The reserve is home to over 300 chimpanzees along with other primate species such as blue monkeys and red-tailed monkeys. Your experienced guide will lead you through the forest as you search for these fascinating primates.
Once located, spend an hour observing their social interactions and behaviors within their natural environment. This experience provides insight into their lives while contributing to conservation efforts aimed at protecting these endangered species.

Day 3 Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Kigali International Airport
After an early breakfast, you will set out for an exhilarating day of gorilla trekking. Your guide will provide a briefing about gorilla trekking protocols and safety measures before heading into the dense forests of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The trek can vary in duration depending on the location of the gorilla family you are assigned to visit; it may take anywhere from one hour to several hours.
Once you encounter these magnificent creatures, you will have one hour to observe them in their natural habitat. Witnessing their behavior up close is a truly humbling experience that leaves lasting memories.
In the evening, after the Gorilla Trekking, you will be transferred back to Kigali for the outbound flight or continue with your adventure in Africa.
