The Hann Forest and Zoological Park is a nature reserve in Senegal located in Dakar, in the district municipality of Hann Bel-Air. The park was created in 1903 by Governor Martial Merlin. It is first of all a public garden as well as a nursery, as we opened then in AOF. The entire park covers approximately 60 hectares. It includes the classified forest and a classic zoo. In 2002 there were 134 residents there, including gazelles, zebus, oryx, hyenas, warthogs, monkeys, lions, crocodiles, as well as various birds, including marabous and hornbills.
