Nyange Sandbank
Avoid the crowds and relax, swim, snorkel and enjoy seafood on your own private powder-sandy sandbank!
Nyange Adventure is an exclusive day trip of Zama Tours and takes you away from the busy sandbanks where everybody goes. In the morning you board the wooden mashua boats in Stone Town and start the day with a boat ride to Prison Island. A drink and snack will be provided upon arrival after which you visit the giant tortoises, the oldest one at the moment having 157 years!
Private sandbank
Mid-morning you leave the island and head to the opposite of the normal circuit, to the isolated Nyange sandbank, about 30 minutes distance from Stone Town. Approaching the white sandbank surrounded by the turquoises waters of the Indian Ocean invites you already for your first dive into these clear waters. Upon arrival, snorkeling gear is ready. Don’t worry about anything anymore, while our own team prepares your lunch: BBQ with fish, seafood and meat kebabs; crispy salads, chips, snacks, fresh fruits and fresh juice. Sodas and mineral water are all included.
After lunch just relax in the sun or under the shades, snorkel, swim or have a walk along the island. Late afternoon heading back to Stone Town, enjoy the famous Zanzibari sunset. A day never to forget!
