3 days safari tarangire, ngorongoro crater and lake manyara

The 3-day Tanzania safari takes you to the Ngorongoro Crater (one of the two most famous wildlife parks in Tanzania) but also a visit to Tarangire National Park and the Lake Manyara National Park a small evergreen gem of its own kind. This 3-days safari offers you the chance to see a wide variety of wildlife amongst some of the most diversified landscapes. A wonderful way to relax on one of our safaris through Northern Tanzania’s most famous national parks and conservation areas. We offer a great deal of safari itineraries to suit any schedule.

Day 1. Your arrival at Arusha

You will arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and will be met by a member from our company and transferred to your hotel or lodge Arusha. The rest of the day is free to relax, recover from your flight and prepare to start your Tarangire National Park Safari 3 Days early the next morning.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast we depart for Tarangire National Park, for some incredible game viewing. Tarangire is a small park which offers some excellent sights of the Tanzanian wildlife. During the dry season, Tarangire National Park comes alive as incredibly varied wildlife and bird life congregate on the Tarangire River, the only permanent source of water in Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park which is famous for its unusually huge herds of elephants and the gigantic baobab trees. You will do a full game drive at Tarangire venturing all sides. Accommodation will be in a nice tented camp/similar depending on the guest request in the vicinity of the park just outside the park boundary with great views over the plains across as well as the Lake Burunge in the far horizon.

 Day 3: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater ‘Eden of Africa’

 After breakfast the next day, you will drive to theNgorongoro conservation area (NCA) - a UNESCO world heritage site. The whole area is managed for both the animals and the local Masai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife. During the drive in Ngorongoro we have a chance to visit the Masai Boma way of life. After stopping at the entrance gate, where there is a chance to learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape, we will drive around the rim of the Crater itself, and from here we can look down and see the herd of wildebeest or buffalos. You will then enter the crater and witness a large concentration of wild animals. This is undoubtedly the best place to see black rhino in Tanzania as well as prides of lions. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and a wide variety of water birds. Other game commonly sighted included cheetahs, hyenas, and lots of other members of the antelope family. of Africa’.

Day 4: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara National Park

Today we drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game drives. You will be visiting the evergreen Lake Manyara National Park, of the legendary tree climbing lions among many other animals and birds that can be seen in this small park. This is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks but still offers a rewarding and diverse safari experience. The lakeshore at Manyara teems with birdlife, and while you are looking for the birds, you might spot one of the elusive tree-climbing lions. There are a surprising number of other large mammals and the striking cliffs on the Rift escarpment form a dramatic backdrop. In the late afternoon you will be dropped back at your hotel in Arusha or you can be dropped at the airport.
