Pick up from your hotel in Arusha at around 08:00am and drive on a tarmac road 38Km to Arusha National Park (552 Km2) with packed lunch.
This small yet beautiful Tanzanian National Park is the closest national park to the famous Arusha “safari town” as well as the Kilimanjaro International Airport, thus making it ideal for a 1 day tour.
Not only is the animal life in the park abundant, but it is also one of the most beautiful and topographically varied parks in Tanzania. The park’s three most significant features include the rugged Mount Meru (Tanzania’s second highest peak at 4,566 m), the notably different colored Momela Lakes, and the 3km wide Ngurdoto Crater, which was formed about 15 million years ago! We will enjoy lunch at one of the picnic sites and continue with afternoon game drive, visiting both the Momela Lakes and the Ngurdoto Crater. Expect to see African buffaloes, elephants, hippos, giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys and beautiful scenery. Meal Plan: L.
