Day 1: Your mountain guide or one of their representatives will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and escort you to your accommodations in Arusha. The drive from the airport to your hotel is about 45 minutes.
Pre-climbing Briefing
At a specified time, your guide will gather you for the pre- climbing briefing that includes sharing all the necessary details and checking all of your personal mountain gear. Going through the gears is very important as we have to make sure you are set for the trek, and if you are missing something, your guide will organize it with the rental shops.
Late Arrivals
If your flight arrives late or you are too tired to receive the pre- climbing briefing, your guide will still be there to make sure your gears are checked, and the pre- briefing would be rescheduled for the next morning.

Day 2: After breakfast, your mountain crew will collect you from your hotel in Arusha and drive for about an hour to Momella Gate, where you will complete entry formalities. You will have hot lunch at the gate before you begin your climb. Today trek will be through the grassland then gradually into the rainforest where you will spot giraffe, zebra, colobus monkeys and great number of birdlife. You will arrive in Miriakamba in time for evening leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: After a hearty breakfast, your ascent to Saddle Hut begins. Today’s walk will be steeper than the earlier day but in a well-maintained path rolls up through the rainforest. Snacks will be served at elephant ridge with a great view of Meru Summit and Mt. Kilimanjaro on the other side. After a short rest, you continue to Saddle Hut (3570m), on a wide col amid the slopes of Meru and Little Meru. At Saddle Hut, you will have hot lunch followed by a short acclimatization trek to the summit of Little Meru (3,820m) that offers superb views of Meru’s summit, the crater and at the top of the ash cone you will see Kilimanjaro towering in a distance. Later on, return to Saddle hut for early dinner ready for summit day!

Day 4: At 2am you will wake up for quick snacks before you start your final climb steeply to Rhino point (3800m) and furthermore to Cobra Point (4350m). We reach the summit (4,566m) on time for sunrise with unlimited possibilities of seeing Kilimanjaro Peak above the clouds. If the weather permits, you will also have spectacular view of African Plains from the top. The final part of the climb is along a spectacular narrow ridge line between the sheer inner cliffs and the sloping outer wall of the crater. As you descend, you will stop at Saddle Hut for brunch and a quick shower if you wish. Later on, descend further down to Miriakamba Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Enjoy an energetic breakfast before you begin your quick descent down to Momella exit gate. Your descent will be through open grassland and mixed forest, with limitless possibilities of seeing wildlife before reaching Momella Gate.Upon arrival at the gate, we will pick you and transfer you back to your hotel in Arusha.
