Embark on an unforgettable 3-day last-minute safari adventure departing directly from Zanzibar! This action-packed itinerary takes you to three of Tanzania's most iconic wildlife destinations.


Day 1: Zanzibar – Flight to Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Fly from the tropical beaches of Zanzibar to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you'll meet our safari guide, driven to Tarangire, and explore the rugged beauty of Tarangire National Park. Known for its large herds of elephants, magnificent baobab trees, and diverse birdlife, Tarangire offers a fantastic introduction to Tanzania's safari experience.

Enjoy thrilling game drives, keeping an eye out for lions, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. In the late afternoon, you'll transfer to your overnight accommodation near the park.


Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

After an early start, descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a natural wonder. This caldera teems with wildlife, offering exceptional game viewing opportunities. You'll have a full day exploring the crater floor, home to the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) and a multitude of other animals. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater before ascending in the late afternoon to your lodge situated on the crater rim or nearby, offering stunning views.


Day 3: Lake Manyara – Return to Zanzibar

After breakfast, journey to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions (though sightings are not guaranteed), large flocks of flamingos, and diverse landscapes ranging from acacia woodlands to baobab-dotted cliffs and hot springs. Enjoy a final game drive through this picturesque park before transferring to the airstrip for your flight back to the paradise island of Zanzibar, filled with incredible memories of your Tanzanian safari.

Meeting and Pickup

You will be picked up directly from your hotel in Zanzibar and transferred to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ). There, you'll board a scheduled direct flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) in Arusha, the gateway to northern Tanzania's safari circuit.

Upon arrival at KIA, after exiting the arrivals area, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide, who will be waiting just outside the main terminal holding a sign with your name or your tour company's logo. From there, your unforgettable safari adventure begins.

·         Flight & Travel Tips;

- Domestic Flight Baggage Limit: Most local airlines have a soft baggage limit of 15 kg (33 lbs) per person, including hand luggage. Soft-sided bags are recommended.

- Passport & ID: Even for domestic flights, guests should carry a valid passport or government-issued ID.

 

Safari Essentials to Bring;

·         - Clothing: Light, neutral-colored clothing; layers for cooler mornings and evenings; a hat and sunglasses.

·         - Footwear: Comfortable walking shoes.

·         - Other Essentials: Sunscreen, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, and a camera with extra batteries/memory cards.

Timing & Punctuality

§  - Some areas in the parks have limited or no cell service. Let friends/family know you may be off-grid for parts of the trip.
