Day 1: Zanzibar – Flight to Arusha – Tarangire National Park (Budget Join-in Group).
Your adventure begins with a morning flight from the beautiful island of Zanzibar to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Upon arrival, you'll meet your fellow group members and your experienced safari guide. Together, you'll embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park. This park is renowned for its large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees dotting the landscape, and diverse birdlife.
Enjoy shared game drives throughout the afternoon in a comfortable safari vehicle, keeping an eye out for lions, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. You'll spend the night at a budget-friendly shared accommodation (lodge) located near the park, allowing you to connect with your group.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater (Budget Join-in Group) – Return to Arusha.
After an early breakfast with the group, you'll travel to the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a natural wonder teeming with wildlife. This caldera offers exceptional game viewing opportunities, and you'll spend the majority of the day on a shared game drive exploring the crater floor. Keep your cameras ready for chances to spot the "Big Five" and numerous other animals.
Enjoy a packed lunch together within the crater. In the mid-afternoon, you'll ascend from the crater and begin your journey back to Arusha, where the group safari concludes. This option typically includes an overnight stay in Arusha before your onward travel from Kilimanjaro International Airport (flight back to Zanzibar would be on the following day, at your own arrangement and cost).
