Located in the main city of the Zanzibar Archipelago in Stone Town, the Old Fort of Zanzibar is the oldest fort in East Africa.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this fort is one of the archipelago's popular attractions.
It houses the Zanzibar Cultural Centre and the offices of the Zanzibar International Film Festival. Several shows are organized inside this former building. You will also find a theatre in the middle. There are also many shops and restaurants. This emblematic place is well worth a visit
