Created on April 30, 1981 by the man of letters, Bernard Dadié, it has an important collection of traditional costumes from all regions of the country. But the monumental building must not be designed to house a museum institution. It is in progress near a governor's palace.


The Musée National du Costume is located in the French district of Grand-Bassam at the request of boulevards Treich-Laplène and Gabriel Angoulvant. It covers an area of more than 4000 m2


Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 5pm, the entry points are as follows: 500 FCFA for nationals, 1,000 FCFA for non-nationals; 200 FCFA for students.
