Overview

Machame route, also known as the Whisky route, has become very popular due to the high level of acclimatization and best chance of reaching to the top. This is camping route which offers spectacular views of various landscapes such as Mt Meru, Pare Mountains and Lake Chala. Acclimitization Day: optional in our packages. Let us know if you are interested in an extra day before trekking.

DAY 1: Peak up at Kilimanjaro Airport and drop off at hotel brief before rest

DAY 2: Resting, Gear checking and Briefing

DAY 3: Drive from hotel to Machame Gate, Hike to Machame Camp

DAY 4: Hike Machame Camp to Shira Camp

DAY 5: Hike Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

DAY 6:Hike Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

DAY 7: Hike Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

DAY 8:Hike Barafu Camp to Summit, down to Mweka Camp

DAY 9:Hike Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate, drive to Hotel in Moshi (i.e. Kiliwonders Hotel)
