Created in 1964 by the late Jimmie Hall and the City of Johannesburg, the James Transportation Museum is South Africa's largest automobile museum.

It houses animal-drawn vehicles, bicycles, motorcycles, fire engines and equipment, cars, coaches and buses, steam-powered vehicles, trams and trolleybuses.

Through this collection the museum gives you an insight into the history of transport in the city of Johannesburg.
