Built by the French architect Daniel BADANI (1914-2016), the Abidjan courthouse represents the colonial architecture of the 50s: a more local approach compared to what was previously built by the colonist. The outer shell of the building consists of concrete clausta acting as a sunshade and promoting natural ventilation, resulting in an architecture that responds to the warm tropical climate
