Au Fil Du Fleuve

Au Fil Du Fleuve is a guest house combining traditional materials and contemporary design. Restored in 2007-2010 in collaboration with an architect specializing in heritage conservation, this former gum arabic warehouse of the Devès house, mulatto traders of Bordeaux origin, is listed among the buildings of great architectural interest in the inventory drawn up for UNESCO's World Heritage List.

The establishment has three unique and very comfortable rooms. They are air-conditioned and ventilated, with wifi, each room is furnished with furniture of contemporary African design, created by the owner, and produced by craftsmen from Saint-Louis.

Dinners are on order and are just as gargantuan and delicious as breakfast. This house and its host will give meaning to your stay.

The house has a large library and frequently hosts temporary exhibitions of contemporary African art. The owner, a Franco-Senegalese mixed race, will be pleased to help you discover the city and its inhabitants in an authentic way, and to introduce you to local products and recipes during a memorable breakfast, or cooking classes.
